Byiome Muir, born on 29 April 1984 in Sandy Bay, Jamaica, is a reggae and dancehall artist. He dropped out of Knox Community College where he was studying architecture, so he could focus on his music career full-time. Muir met the owner of Penthouse Records, Donovan Germain at the age of 16 who at the time was also managing the likes of Buju Banton and Assassin. In 2000, he released “Stepp a Seed” and “Oh Jah” as the 1st singles at Penhouse Records. In 2007, ‘Stab Vampire’ was on top of many Jamaican charts after he had signed with Kingston label.”Lose A Friend” and “Mama You Alone” went on top of the charts as well. In 2010, I-Octane gained further momentum when he signed with Cashflow Records and released many other hits like “No Love Inna Dem.” DJ Frass produced “My Life” which made it to the top of the charts again in 2011. Digicel chose I-Octane to be their brand Ambassador and so did Golden Eagle brand. He started his own label called Conquer The World Productions in 2011. His debut album was released on 13 February 2012, Crying To The Nation and it went over the Caribbean through Robert Livingston’s Scikron Entertainment and internationally was done by VP Records. The lead single was “L.O.V.E.Y.O.U” because it was a popular ballad. With the album, he toured Canada, U.S, and Europe. He made a 2nd album which was released in March 2014, produced by DJ Frass on Tad’s International Records. He produced Love and Life with his own label and it was in 3rd place on the reggae Billboard charts for 3 weeks. He has since been doing more work with various producers and artists.
