Charly Black leads the charge on Carib Feeling Riddim, and “Never Grudge Yet” sets the tone for a compact five-cut dancehall set that also lines up Esco’s “World Gyallis, ” I-Octane’s “Party Start, ” the Vybz Kartel and Ishawna pairing on “How Can You, ” and Xklusive’s “Road. ” Jones Ave Records kept the sequencing lean, with the Kartel-Ishawna collaboration sitting at the center like the natural peak of the project, while the whole thing runs just 16 minutes in its 2017 EP form. It’s a straight dancehall package with no fat on it, released on September 29, 2017, and built around one strong rhythm session rather than a long tracklist.
