Gamal Doyle grew up in Lodge Village, Leeward Coast of St Vincent, Chateaubelair. Doyle attended University of the West Indies in Jamaica where he studied Media and Communication and graduated in 2010. In between, Doyle worked in a call center as a supervisor and he also worked at a radio station as an announcer. His friends used to call him ‘Tin Beef’ which later evolved to ‘Skinny Fabulous’ because he was very skinny. Doyle started out with dancehall when he worked with a group Daseca: Craig and David Harrisingh and Serani and this did not really work out. Upon returning to St Vincent, he started doing soca which was a little more on the aggressive side. In 2008, Doyle won the St Vincent Soca Monarch title with his song “Head Bad”. Doyle has been writing all of his material and he has recently started writing for other artists.
