Derek Brin keeps this one moving with a bright, Carnival-season soca charge that’s all bounce, sharp percussion and quick hooks, the kind of riddim that leaves plenty of room for waistline business. Orlando Octave’s “Bend Ova” comes in with the most immediate pull, while Patrice Roberts turns “Caenival Spirit” into the sort of road-ready chant that fits right into peak fete hours. Shyann Bailey gets a double look-in with “Feelin Good” and the Jouvert mix, which adds a grittier edge without losing the forward drive, and Skinny Fabulous’ “Non Stop” pushes the energy right to the finish. The instrumental “Red Rum Version” closes it out cleanly, and that last cut makes the whole set feel like it was made to keep a crowd in motion.
