Jab Action Riddim came out in August 2013 with that rough, Carnival-edge soca feel: plenty of jab-jab energy, pounding percussion, and a vocal set that keeps the pressure on without ever getting too polished. Monkey’s “Badnews” and the Sniper cut “Boot Her Back” lean hardest into the road vibe, while Deva’s “Ain’T Normal” and Poplin’s “Happiness” keep the riddim moving with a more playful, chant-ready pull. Yve and AUG frame it like a street party tool rather than a glossy mainstream package, which suits the title and the mood. Stoneroad’s “When Ah Drunk” closes things out on the kind of loose, Bacchanal-minded note that ties the whole project together.
