TRIBE RIDDIM (SOCA) – PRECISION PRODUCTIONS 2015

Precision Productions’ Tribe Riddim came out in 2015 as a tight Carnival-era soca set, all sharp percussion, bright synth movement and enough forward drive to keep the waistline busy. Iwer George’s “Play D Mas” sets the tone with pure fete energy, while Machel Montano’s “Watching Meh” and Patrice Roberts’ “Trouble” lean into the kind of hooky, road-ready writing that made the season hum. Skinny Fabulous adds a harder edge on “No Other Way, ” giving the riddim a little extra grit without losing the party feel. The release is short and focused, just four vocal cuts on a 13-minute run, and it closes with the instrumental “Tribe Riddim, ” which leaves the production itself front and center.
