Marlon Jaro Plunkett, born on 2 March 1979, Linstead, Jamaica, is a popular dancehall deejay. Like his mentor Elephant Man, he is part of a group of Gangsta-themed deejays called The Alliance. He did his first single with “Leggo Di Bwoi”. It was a collaboration with Chino when Plunkett was still in high school. When Predator, a fellow DJ followed “Mad Sick Head No Good” Plunkett went together with him. Elephant Man’s single lyrics “Jook Gal”, were written by Plunkett whose remix was done together with the East Side Boyz, Lil Jon, Kiprich himself and it entered the charts in 2003. His greatest hit which is also the latest so far was “Telephone Ting”, and “The Letter”follows. What skyrocketed his popularity was his humorous songs and sometimes songs directed at other deejays, like Talk, aimed Beenie Man, Elephant Man and Vybz Kartel, and in addition “Ca’an Get Brown”, was meant for Vybz Kartel. “My Heart Is a Jail” was released in 2013 on his album Kippo, which Keisha White was featured on the track. He has made numerous music videos for hit singles like “Loyalty” which was done in 2014, “My Loss” featuring Benji Hype in 2017, “Call Me” in 2018, and was done on the Champ riddim and in addition “Win” in 2019. These are just but a few showcases of his exceptional talent with so much more in the future.
