Garfield Spence, born on 11 January 1985 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a dancehall musician. He was part of a duo called SoJah with his brother Delus and then he went solo. Some of his hits are the likes of “Winner”, “This Means Money”, “Rasta Impostor”, “Good Girl Gone Bad”, “Realest Song”, “Represent”, “Gal Dem A Talk”, “Forward” and “Do Sumn”.The single “Pon Di Corner” became a big hit in Japan in 2005 and thereafter came a tour in Japan and album release. He was featured on Tarrus Riley’s album, Contagious. Konshens has a large fan base in Guyana where he performed “Gal Dem Talk” in 2011 at Guyana’s National Stadium. Koyashi, a Japanese recording company, discharged his album, Real Talk, in 2010. The same year, Tad Dawkins owner of Tad’s International label announced the release of the 2nd album in Jamaica. Konshens started working with his brother Delus when he launched his own label, Subkonshus label in 2010. He was one of the prominent Jamaican celebrities to participate in the march at Torrington Park in May 2011 because the mission was to call for an end to political contention within the area, whilst honoring over 150 elderly women who were killed in May 1980 at the Eventide Home. Mental Maintenance was his 2nd album and released in 2012, Pepsi made Konshens an official brand ambassador in March 2014. He featured on “I Don’t Dance” in July 2018, with Enrique Iglesias and Matoma. He is actively working with various artists currently and growing his fanbase.
