The Praise Jahovia Riddim dub release first appeared in 2009, coming straight out of the UK reggae scene. It was produced by Maximum Sound, a label run by Frenchie, who is known for shaping many important modern reggae riddims. Maximum Sound has worked with big names in reggae and has built a strong reputation for quality productions over the years. On this dub release, several respected artists brought their own style. Anthony B delivered “All We Have.” Anthony B is well known for hits like “Fire Pon Rome” and is celebrated for his powerful stage performances. Busy Signal contributed with “Uniform Bad Boy.” Busy Signal is a dancehall and reggae star, famous for songs like “Stay So” and his album “Reggae Music Again,” which hit charts internationally. Fantan Mojah teamed up with Zareb for “Good Meditation.” Zareb also performed “Good Meditation” solo, showing his deep roots influence. Lukie D added his own touch with “Send Dem Come.” Each artist’s song fit perfectly with the meditative and rootsy sound of the riddim. The dub engineering on this release brought out the heavy bass and echo effects that sound systems love. The mixing allowed each vocal and instrumental part to stand out, giving the riddim its unique flavor.
