Prison Break Riddim has that tight, pressure-cooker feel you’d expect from a late-2000s roots session with teeth. Bassrunner Productions keeps the rhythm lean and driving, and Mykal Roze’s “Fight I Down” gives it the sharpest edge, with Million Stylez’ “Born In The System” and New Kingston’s “Get To You” sitting comfortably in the same lane. There’s a nice contrast across the cast too: 3gga and Emiliano bring a more conversational touch on “Too Far, ” while Cornadoor’s “We Aint Leaving” keeps the militant mood intact. It’s a five-cut 2009 release, but the energy is concentrated enough that it never feels slight, just direct and unhurried.
