The word "riddim" means different things in music. In Jamaican music, like reggae and dancehall, it's a background beat that artists use for their songs, and many artists can use the same beat. It usually has drums and a strong bassline. In Riddim Dubstep, a type of electronic music, "riddim" refers to the beat and heavy bass sound, not a reusable beat like in Jamaican music.
