KING RIDDIM produced by RENAISSANCE 2012
King Overview
In 2012, the King Riddim project brought new energy to reggae and dancehall sound system culture. In Jamaica and across the world, sound systems have always given young artists a stage to share their voices. King Riddim followed this tradition by giving a platform to rising singers and musicians. The project was arranged by the producer RENAISSANCE. Known for his careful attention to vocal harmonies and smooth production, RENAISSANCE has worked with many artists over the years. His label, Renaissance Records, is respected for supporting both reggae and dancehall acts. With King Riddim, he helped keep the roots of reggae strong while also welcoming fresh talent. Each artist on King Riddim brought their own style to the compilation. Braveheart performed "Do You Really Care Mathieu Ruben," adding heartfelt lyrics over the steady rhythm. Daddy King delivered "See You Smile," a track filled with positive energy. Ronegga's "Je Ne Men Souviens Pas" stood out with its unique sound. Little Di Lion shared "You Will See," while Yeahman C teamed up with Cless Shine for "Shes My Queen Feat. Cless Shine," a song that blended voices and vibes. Some of these artists have made their mark in the reggae scene. For example, Ronegga is known for his collaborations in the French reggae community. Each song on King Riddim kept the reggae spirit alive, showing the importance of sound system culture and the role of producers like RENAISSANCE in bringing new voices to the world.
