Tunda Clap Riddim – Renaissance Records

Tunda Clap Riddim came out in 2003 on Renaissance Records and gathers a strong early-2000s dancehall cast over one of the sharper clapping-era rhythms. Bling Dawg’s Must Be Crazy, Bounty Killer and Assassin’s Dem Ting Deh, and Elephant Man’s Dead Over It are among the better-known cuts, with Busy Signal turning up on his early Shake It Fast single as well. The riddim is closely tied to the Renaissance sound system crew, with Delano Thomas, Andre Saunders, and Michael Jarrett credited behind the production, and the project later showed up as Greensleeves Rhythm Album #48: Tunda Klap.
