From the Jamaican dancehall push of 2004, Tunda Clap Riddim comes in with that sharp, street-level energy Renaissance Records were leaning into at the time: a hard, bouncy pattern with enough space for toasting but plenty of kick in the drums. Capleton brings the fire on the title cut, while Kiprich’s “I Swear” and The Clique’s “We Nah Make (Raw)” lean into the bragging and badman talk that kept the riddim moving in the dance. Tornado and Bugle add another angle with “Real Bad Man, ” and the whole package feels like a snapshot of the era when Renaissance was feeding the scene with compact, club-ready dancehall sets. It’s a lean five-track run, but it captures that early-2000s Kingston pressure nicely.
