Khago, born Ricardo Gayle and also known as “Chicago” was born on the 4th of November, and he grew up in St Ann, Jamaica. His interest in music began at the age of 16 and his greatest influences were Mr Vegas and Spragga Benz. He is popular for his unique signature phrase “Sehso”. His prominence in the music scene began in 2006 after he entered the Jamaican Culture Development Commission popular song contest with his song “Only If You Know” which won the best video.

He re-entered the contest in 2007 with the song “Been There” which became very popular among the ladies. It came second in the competition ad it was produced by him and Dillon Reid and it has hit the waves of the radio stations in Jamaica with so much impact. Khago has since worked with various popular producers including Sly& Robbie, Marlon Young, Snow Cone, Flava, and others. One of the crowd’s favorite songs “Can Col, Caan Quench” was recorded on the one-drop riddim. He also released some catchy hits such as “Daddy From You Gone”, “Love Stomach” and “Addicted”. Khago’s manager Bankylous managed top artists such as Bounty Killer, Shabba Ranks, Lady Patra, and others.
