In 2012, JA Productions followed its earlier Overtime success with Double Overtime Riddim, a sharper, busier dancehall juggling driven by a muscular bassline and a bright, radio-ready swing. The label is the work of Justus Arison and Patrick “Roach” Samuels, a pairing that had already become known for polished contemporary dancehall with a clean, modern finish and enough street energy to travel well on sound systems.

The strongest cuts keep the riddim moving between party talk and sly flirtation. Mavado’s Caribbean Girls brings his rugged tone to a breezy anthem that sits neatly in the groove, while Christopher Martin’s Na Na Na pushes his smooth, melodic style into easy sing-along territory. Beenie Man’s Clean Heart adds veteran charisma, and Gyptian’s Overtime gives the project one of its most memorable hooks, with the singer’s laid-back phrasing softening the rhythm’s punch. Spice’s The Holiday flips the mood into full summer mode, and the Khago and Elephant Man pairing on Slap Weh injects extra dancehall fire.
