Patience Riddim – Studio Msica

Three tracks, three different angles on the same 2021 Studio Musica riddim, and Patience keeps the focus tight with Blaxx, Kernal Roberts, and Zan each taking a turn. It’s a soca set with a warm, easy roll rather than a hard-driving push, the sort of groove that leaves room for the melodies and the lyrics to breathe. Blaxx’s “Sunshine” is the hookiest cut of the bunch, bringing a bright, feel-good lift, while Kernal Roberts’ “Hold Ah Strain” leans into the title’s patient mood and Zan’s “I Miss You” closes things on a more reflective note. The whole EP runs just over ten minutes, so there’s no wasted motion here, only a compact turn through a single riddim idea.
