A clean slice of 2019 soca from GMS Productions and F. A. M. E. Studio, The White Sand Riddim came through with just three vocal cuts and an instrumental, which keeps the focus tight on the groove rather than crowding the lane. John John’s “As One (Bi Okan)” sets the tone with a title that nods to togetherness, Jerome Gonzales follows with the clipped, forward-moving “Doh Hold It, ” and Kerry John’s “Go Away” adds a sharper edge to the lineup. The riddim itself reads like a beachside summer mover, light on its feet but with enough muscle in the rhythm section to keep dancers locked in. With only four tracks on the set and three distinct voices riding it, Kerry John’s “Go Away” ends up leaving the strongest final impression.
The White Sand Riddim Tracklist:
- John John – As One (Bi Okan)
- Jerome Gonzales – Doh Hold It
- Kerry John – Go Away
- GMS Productions & F.A.M.E. Studio – The White Sand Riddim (instrumental)
