Bad Parang Riddim feels like a little Christmas-season detour through parang-leaning soca, with 4th Dimension Productions keeping the mood bright and percussive across a tight five-track run. Released on December 17, 2021, it runs just 18 minutes, so there’s no room for dead air. Chewalee’s “Sha La La Christmas, ” Flanka’s “Christmas Soca, ” and Camille Claudette’s “Chimney” do most of the vocal lifting, while 4th Dimension also steps in on “Saxy Christmas, ” which gives the set a more personal stamp.
