Assassin aka Agent Sasco
Jeffrey Campbell, born on 22 December 1982 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a dancehall DJ. When he wrote lyrics for Spragga Benz for the track “Shotta” in 1999 was how his career began. He began working on his art to a point he released his 1st single in 2000. Before changing to Boardhouse records which he started and co-owns, he had recorded 2 albums with VP Records in 2008. Gully Sit’n was his 2nd album. He took online studies of Business Management degree during the mid-2000s. During that time he changed his stage name to Agent Sasco because it was easier to search his profile online unlike using the popular Assassin name. He has done many collaborations and traveled to many countries as his career started taking him places. In June 2011, his single “Talk How Mi Feel” was number 1 on Jamaican Countdown Chart. “I’m In It” was a song he featured on Kanye West’s Yeezus album, in 2013. “The Blacker The Berry” was another single he featured in 2015 by Kendrick Lamar and it sold half a million copies worldwide. At the 58th Grammy Awards, Assassin was acknowledged regarding the same track in 2016, and the same year he released his album Theory Of Reggaetivity. His latest album is titled Hope River released in 2018 and his single is “Bandana” in 2019. He has released over 60 singles to date since he began his career. This is crystal clear proof of his commitment to the art of music.
