Standing Fan Riddim – Jah Snow Cone Entertainment

Standing Fan Riddim arrived in March 2021 from Rohan “Snowcone” Fuller’s Jah Snow Cone Entertainment, a name that already carried weight in dancehall through classic-era production and his long run as a rhythm maker and label boss. Fuller has been tied to some of the scene’s biggest moments, and this project fits squarely into that tradition: a modern juggling with a veteran’s ear for spacing, hook placement, and tune selection.

The riddim has a brisk, fan-like forward motion, with a tight drum pattern and a lively low end that leaves room for singjay melodies, straight-to-the-point badman talk, and conscious one-drop phrasing. It does not feel overcrowded, even with a long list of voicings. The strongest cuts come from the name-value combinations: Christopher Martin and Bounty Killer on “No Guh A Rise, ” which reads as the project’s anchor, and Agent Sasco’s “Fellowship, ” which brings his sharper, more reflective tone into the mix. D Major’s “Cream Of The Crop” and Louie Culture’s “Anointed” also suit the riddim’s cleaner, uplifting side, while Charly Black’s “Neva Si Come Si” adds a more playful edge.
