Center Forward Riddim by DJ Frass Records landed in 2013 as a strong dancehall juggling with 20 tracks and a heavy lineup led by Mavado, Assassin, Chris Martin, Cecile, Demarco, I-Octane, Tifa and Mad Cobra. Standout cuts include Mavado’s Carpet, Assassin’s Get Mad, Chris Martin’s Single Ladies and I-Octane’s Yute Fi Have Tings, with Carpet also turning up in both raw and clean versions. DJ Frass steered the project with a sports-inspired concept that fits the title, and the riddim’s mix of street-ready energy and crossover singjay cuts gave it broad appeal.
