The Group Chat Riddim – Dj Frass Records

DJ Frass Productions brings the juggling format back into focus with the Group Chat Riddim, a compact dancehall release featuring Mavado, Shenseea and Nigy Boy. Each artist approaches the production differently, giving the project enough variety to work as both a short listening session and a useful selection for DJs, parties and sound-system juggling.

The rollout began with Nigy Boy’s “Phenomenal, ” released on 28 August 2026. His melodic delivery gives the riddim a smooth opening and continues the rising Jamaican singer’s working relationship with DJ Frass. The pair previously connected on the Party Bus Riddim, which featured Nigy Boy’s breakout track “Nomad. ” On “Phenomenal, ” his distinctive vocals bring a youthful and polished flavour to the new production.

Shenseea follows with “Tightness, ” adding her confident presence and crossover-friendly style to the juggling. Her performance provides a strong contrast to the two male artists while showing how easily the instrumental can accommodate different vocal approaches. Shenseea and DJ Frass have worked together on earlier releases, and their familiarity can be heard in the natural way she handles the rhythm.

Mavado takes the title track, “Group Chat, ” and supplies the veteran energy of the project. His unmistakable voice and commanding delivery give the riddim a harder edge without disturbing its melodic character. Naming Mavado’s song after the juggling also makes it the centrepiece of the release, supported by an official music video.

Rather than releasing every song simultaneously, DJ Frass Productions introduced the tracks in stages. Nigy Boy arrived first, followed by Shenseea and Mavado on 4 September 2026. This staggered approach allowed each song to establish its own identity before listeners experienced them together as a complete riddim.

The Group Chat Riddim is a reminder of what makes traditional dancehall juggling effective: one strong instrumental, several recognisable voices and enough variation to keep the rhythm moving. Mavado brings experience and street appeal, Shenseea adds confidence and international reach, while Nigy Boy represents the melodic sound of the newer generation.

With only three featured artists, the release does not overstay its welcome. Instead, DJ Frass keeps the project focused and selector-friendly. The Group Chat Riddim may be small in numbers, but its carefully chosen lineup gives it the potential to gain traction through radio play, streaming playlists, parties and dancehall mixes.
