Hotta Step Overview

The reggae rhythm project began with a group of talented musicians and producers gathering in the studio, all focused on creating something special. The foundation builder set a clear creative direction: to mix the classic reggae sound with new energy from modern artists. This vision guided the entire recording process, making sure the music stayed true to its roots while still feeling fresh. CHINEY K RECORDS led the production. Known for their strong influence in the reggae scene, the label has released several notable projects and helped launch the careers of new artists. Their production often features social themes and creative rhythms, earning respect from both fans and critics. The project brought together a unique lineup of artists. Chiney K delivered "Good Old Days," a song that celebrates the traditions and memories of reggae’s past. Bubba’s "Bagga Things" brought a lively, upbeat sound, adding fun and energy to the rhythm. Ataru’s "Meditate" offered a thoughtful, introspective track that encourages listeners to reflect and find peace. Luciano teamed up with Nitty Kutchie for "Freedom," a song that calls for unity and justice. Nitty Kutchie also appeared solo on "Freedom — Freedom," adding his own style to the project. Ginjah’s "Don't Violate" stood out with its message of respect, while HAWKEYE and Chico joined forces on "High Grade," and Chico delivered his own version with "High Grade — High Grade." Jimmy Riley’s "More Life" and Lady G’s "Mr. Right Now" rounded out the collection, each bringing their own unique voice. This reggae rhythm project remains an important part of reggae history, showing how artists and producers can work together to honor the past while moving the music forward.
