Chad Simpson was born in the Jones Town Community in Kingston. His love for music was evident when he was a child and it continued throughout the years that he attended George Headley Primary, Melrose All-Age and St Catherine High School as he was an active participant in music. After school, he started developing his DJ skills in various studious such as Jammys, Scorpio, MainStreet and Studio 2000. Simpson was discovered by MainStreet’s Danny Browne while voicing and that is when he got his break in the year 1996 with his hit “Here Comes Fudgie”. This put his signature style on display both nationally and internationally. His partnership with Browne led to a string of hits, some on his own and others with the Main Street Crew. The hits included “Big Man, Little Youth” featuring Red Rat, ‘Brush Your Teeth From Morning”, “Wining Machine” featuring Sanchez and many others.
Simpson assisted artists such as Chico, TOK, Vegas, Mad Anju and Idonia in their career early stages . In his music journey, he became a producer and under his label Young Blood, he has produced a number of hits for famous artists such as Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Bounty Killa, Richie Spice, Jah Cure among others.
