    In 2004, Danger Zone Entertainment dropped Perilous Riddim into a dancehall scene that was still hungry for hard-edged, singer-friendly juggling, and the lineup tells you straight away who this one was aimed at: Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Capleton, Assassin, Cecile and Don Yute all cut sharp hooks over the same driving groove. Capleton gets especially good mileage out of it on “Blazing Hot” and “She’s My Baby, ” while Buju’s “Baby Girl” and Beenie’s “Eloh” keep the project moving with that early-2000s mix of swagger and melody.
