Tech Riddim – Rasblinga Records

Iyara’s double dip on “Rotten Teeth Gal” is the hook that pulls you into Tech Riddim, and it’s the sharpest sign that Rasblinga Records was aiming for a hard-edged dancehall package rather than a big, crowded showcase. Chilando’s “One Fire” sets the tone with a lean, no-nonsense cut, while Kasanova’s “Krazy” and Keywee’s “Do It And Done” keep the pace tight and streetwise. Rasblinga keeps the riddim focused across six tracks, and the radio edit/explicit pairings around Iyara and Kasanova hint at songs built to move between dancehall sound systems and cleaner circulation without losing their bite. It’s a 2017 release, and that little detail says plenty.
