Lindon Andrew Roberts was born on 11 November 1961 and he originates from Rose Lane, West Kingston which is also hometown to music legends such as Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Peter Tosh, among others. Roberts sang in the school choir at All Saints’ Primary School and after he completed his secondary school education in 1976 , his music career began. He toured the island with various sound systems including  Gemini, Black Scorpio, Jammys, Lee’s Unlimited and Kilimanjaro. This put him on the map and he worked with top producers such as Jack Scorpio, Prince Jammy, Sly & Robbie, Errol Marshall and others. Roberts recorded his first single “Sally” in 1983 and this was followed by the anthem track “Winsome’. Hits such as “Mr Landlord”, “Level the Vibes” , “Victory” and “Substitute Love” followed. His song “Winsome” was covered by The Rolling Stones in 1986. Roberts toured frequently at this time and he made several guest appearances. He also performed at music festivals and rock concerts. In 1989, his track Giving/Sharing was featured on the soundtrack album for the film The Mighty Quinn. His songs were also used on films Substitute 2 in 1998 and on the French comedy “Mookie” in that same year. That same year, he was signed with the BMG Music Publishing Company.

In 1985, Roberts accompanied Sly & Robbie on their International Taxi Gang Tour and he cut some  singles for them including “Night Life Lady”, “Hold On” and “World Inflation. Later on that way, Roberts worked with producer George Phang on the song “Greetings”. He was absent from the studio for most of the decade and he then recorded his first studio album “Legal We Legal” which was a success.  Roberts embarked on a 15 city US tour with Anthony B. In 2000 he was presented with “The Key To The City of Lauderdale Lakes” by the Mayor of the Florida suburb in 2000. Roberts featured on Sly & Robbie’s 25th Anniversary US Tour in December 2004, in Jamaica. He recorded the single “Wha Ya Wan” in 2005, a remake of the classic “Winsome” with R&B singer DIA. He embarked on a worldwide tour in 2007. He headlined the Jamaica 360 festival in Ocho Rios. He also performed at the 15th Annual  Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay. In 2008 he released No Stress Express and he continued with concerts and tours throughout 2009 and 2010
