Leaf Of Life Production keeps this one tight and rootsy, with four cuts and four voices carrying the same meditative pulse. Half Pint’s “Journey Of Life” is the obvious anchor, and Turbulence adds the sharpest edge on “Selassie Is My Commander, ” while Spring Wata and Powerful round things out with “Solid As a Rock” and “Dutty Bad Mind. ” It feels like the label leaning into a clean, message-heavy reggae groove rather than chasing anything flashy, which is very much in step with the spirit of their later 2020 follow-up on the same title. In the context of the Leaf Of Life catalogue, it sits neatly beside the more conscious, pared-down side of the imprint’s work.
