Get Over Riddim – B-Sharp Records

In 2008, B-Sharp Records lined up a compact five-cut reggae session around the Get Over riddim, with Anthony Cruz, Everton Blender, Half Pint and Turbulence all taking a turn over the same backing. The set keeps the focus on message songs and roots-leaning delivery: Cruz’s “Nuttn Naah Gwaan A Yard” brings the street-level commentary, Everton Blender’s “King Pharo” leans into conscious praise, and Turbulence’s “Save The Children” gives the riddim its sharpest social edge. Half Pint’s “Time To Win” sits right in the middle of it, and the package closes with the plain version cut, which lets the rhythm breathe on its own.
