Peter Jackson, born on 22 December 1975 in Macka Tree, Jamaica, is a dancehall, reggae singer, and producer. He is number 5 in a family of 8 children. He lived with his mother, 6 brothers, and 1 sister. Actually, his career commenced at the age of 17 as he had been the lead singer at his local church choir. Colin Roach became his mentor and facilitated his recording for the 1st time at King Jammy’s Studio. In 2005, he was shot and had a fatal automobile accident which made him decide to focus on his spiritual life more. This resulted in him releasing “Rasptah.” Old Friends, Heads Up, Mek You Wet and I Can’t Hold Back are some of the albums he has released since the early 90s into the early 2000s. They were done by different labels Charm, VP Records, JA Music, and Stickler Productions respectively. His albums did quite well, helping establish his popularity and more confidence in his fans. Some of his single highlights include “Tickle Her Fancy, “Vex If You Vex”, “Dem Bawling Out” and “Saudi Arabia Wine” and “Not Me”, just to mention a few. Regarding the latter song, he did a collaboration with Vybz Kartel. Jackson did a good number of projects with various artists and worked on some well-known riddims like Island Breeze riddim, Sweet Corn riddim, Basik Instink riddim, and many other types of riddims. He has gone on international tours and has kept his audience captivated throughout his career. On 25 October 2019, Down In Jamaica was released and had 40 songs of VP Records done under various artists. We are expectant to see more from Galaxy P.
