MATITI RIDDIM produced by BLOCK OP INDUSTRY 2013
Matiti Overview
The Matiti Riddim started in the studio with a simple idea: to bring together a strong roots reggae sound with a modern edge. The foundation rhythm was built around a deep bassline and live instruments, giving it a classic but fresh feeling. The roots selector guiding the project wanted to keep the vibe authentic, making sure each track had a real connection to reggae’s message and energy. BLOCK OP INDUSTRY, the producer behind Matiti Riddim, is known for working with reggae and dancehall artists across the Caribbean and Europe. The label has built a solid reputation for quality releases, often blending roots influences with new sounds. Their attention to detail and creative direction helped Matiti Riddim stand out in 2013. The artists on this project each brought their own style. Dr Creeks delivered "Nou Ka Fey," a track that became popular in roots sessions for its strong lyrics and catchy flow. Maldone M’Say added "Music Smoka," bringing his unique voice and energy to the riddim. Rpi’s "Isabelle" offered a melodic touch, showing the artist’s versatility. Snifa contributed "Pa Blie," keeping the roots message alive with a steady groove. Steven Moris closed out the lineup with "Crois Moi," adding soulful vocals and thoughtful lyrics. Each artist played an important role in making Matiti Riddim a staple in roots sessions. This dub release kept the roots message strong throughout 2013, showing how classic reggae rhythms can still inspire new generations.
