WARFARE RIDDIM produced by SUPA BLUNT 2012
Warfare Overview
In 2012, the dancehall world got a major boost with the release of the Warfare Riddim. This project came out of Jamaica and quickly became a favorite in parties and on sound systems, thanks to its deep basslines and powerful energy. The riddim brought together some of the most exciting voices in dancehall at the time. Food Kartel set things off with "Warn Him Innuh," a track that showed his sharp delivery. Princz Charmin followed with "Nuh Noise," adding his own unique style to the mix. Dwayno and Jonah teamed up for "Nah Run," bringing a strong collaboration that fans enjoyed. Jeyble’s "Mi Nah Run Weh" kept the momentum going, while Byngham closed things out with "Jah Alone," a song that connected with many listeners. Some of these artists were already making waves in the scene. Dwayno, for example, is well known for his song "Don a Road," which gained attention in the early 2010s. Byngham has also earned respect for his consistent work in the reggae and dancehall community. The mastermind behind the project was SUPA BLUNT, a producer known for his creative approach and for working with various artists across the genre. SUPA BLUNT has a reputation for building riddims that DJs and selectors love to play, and Warfare Riddim was no exception. For fans of dancehall, 2012 would not be complete without the heavy sounds and standout tracks of the Warfare Riddim. It remains a strong example of how vibrant and influential dancehall music can be.
