Drone Riddim – Supa Blunt Productions

Drone Riddim leans into a sharp, clipped dancehall pulse that keeps the hooks moving without any extra frills. Supa Blunt Productions lined up seven cuts here, with Jeyble’s “Wine, ” Teflon’s “Tek Weh Uself, ” and Stein’s “Badman A Badman” doing a lot of the heavy lifting across the set. The sequencing ends the same way a good juggling should, with a straight version cut after the vocal tunes, which makes it easy to hear how the rhythm is carrying the whole thing. Big Wayne, Eklypse, and Ziontist round out the vocal side, and the release sits in 2012, when Supa Blunt were also putting out other hard-edged dancehall work like the Sun A Blaze and Warfare riddims.
