GANJA RIDDIM produced by VARIOUS ARTISTS 2012
Ganja Overview
It all started in a small Kingston studio, where the bashment arranger was working late, building a new sound. The beat had a driving bass and sharp snares, ready to shake up the dance. When the producer, VARIOUS ARTISTS, heard the first cut, he knew this riddim would be different. VARIOUS ARTISTS has a long history of shaping dancehall, always pushing for that real island energy. His label has put out some of the most loved yard tunes, and his productions have racked up thousands of streams online. Soon, word spread. Artists lined up to ride the riddim. King Mee was first, dropping “Feelin It,” a tune that set the tone with its catchy hook. King Mee is known for his energetic style and has built a loyal following with dancehall fans. Next came Apprentice with “Smoking Hard,” bringing his own streetwise lyrics. Terminator followed, unleashing “Gunshot,” a track that brought pure fire to every sound clash. Terminator’s name is well known from his earlier collaborations in the scene. Fabigeez stepped in with “Di Music,” giving the riddim a fresh twist. Fragga Ranks delivered “Nuh Run From It,” adding his signature voice and flow. Each artist brought their own flavor, but the riddim held everything together, making the tape feel like a real yard session. When the “Ganja Riddim” dropped, it took over the clubs. Every selector wanted to spin it. The version track, “Ganja Riddim,” kept the energy up, letting DJs show their skills.
