Stephen “Di Genius” McGregor was already one of the sharpest young producers in dancehall by 2010, and Catalog Riddim sits right in that run of sleek, digital work that made his name. The session rides on a clean, mid-tempo bounce with a hard drum pulse, bright synth accents, and just enough space for deejays to cut through. It has the kind of movement that works in a dance but still leaves room for lyrical aggression.

The lineup is heavy. Agent Sasco brings Dem Sick with his trademark clipped, forceful delivery, while Aidonia’s We A Tek It Off pushes the riddim into rude-boy territory. Beenie Man’s Sketel Shadow adds veteran swagger, Capleton turns Mash Up Da Place Yah into a fiery warning, and Elephant Man’s Worry Dem keeps the energy jumping. Di Genius also voices Nah Forgive Dem himself, which gives the project a producer-led edge rather than making it feel like a pass-through compilation.
