Tilmann Otto was born on 19 April 1975 in Osnabrück , Cologne Germany. He fell in love with reggae music at a young age and mostly when he travelled to Jamaica at the age of 17. Otto’s career began with his collaboration with the band Freundeskreis on the song “Tabula Rasa” where he showcased his singjay skills. After that collaboration, a series of singles followed and these led to his solo debut album in 1999 titles “Trodin On” which was a mixture of dancehall and hip-hop. In 2002, Otto returned with his breakthrough “Journey To Jah” which was influenced by the birth of his son. He also released songs like “Dem Gone”, “Superior” and “Send A Prayer”. In 2014, his album titled “Confidence” was number one on the German Album charts. Otto featured on the album “True Love” by Toots and the Maytals which won the Grammy Award in 2004 for best Reggae Album. After 10 years of releasing music under the label Four Music, he moved to Universal in 2010. He then released “Diversity” and a live album followed in 2011. In 2012, Otto paired with Richie Stephens for the album “Live Your Life” and in 2013 he released his 6th solo album “New Day Dawn”.
