The set is presented with Alborosie fronting the project, which fits his lane perfectly: the Sicilian-born, Jamaica-based singer built his name on roots-minded reggae, dub, and a careful command of patois, and he has spent years working as both artist and studio hand in Kingston.

The riddim itself has a clean, modern one-drop feel with a regal lift in the arrangement, the kind of bed that leaves room for melody while still carrying weight in the drums and bass. It sits closer to roots revival than to bashment, with a warm, steady pulse that lets the songs breathe. Alborosie’s own “Red” and “The Majesty Riddim” frame the set like bookends, while “No Waste No Time” from Sizzla Kalonji pushes the message side hard with his sharp, forward-driving delivery. Etana brings a softer, more devotional touch on “Healing Tree, ” and Christopher Martin’s “B4 It’S Too Late” adds a smooth, radio-ready edge that broadens the riddim without breaking its mood.
