By 2010, Pow Pow Productions was already deep in its roots-and-culture run, and Everlasting Riddim fits that moment with a polished, singer-friendly groove that leans more warm and steady than flashy. The lineup is loaded with strong voices — Gentleman’s “Everlasting Love, ” Natural Black’s “Just Be There, ” and Chuck Fenda’s “Deyah Longtime” give the set its sharpest edges — while Ginjah’s “Serpent” and Perfect’s “My Herbs” keep the energy moving without breaking the mood. Sara Lugo and Tamika add some lighter touches later on, but the whole thing hangs together around Pow Pow’s clean instrumental framework. Ending with Raymond Wright’s “Time” and the Pow Pow version, the riddim leaves you with a tidy snapshot of where conscious reggae was landing at the close of that decade.
