Afrodisiac Riddim – Jahnre Music Group

Jahnre Music Group’s Afrodisiac Riddim lands a little slicker than a lot of straight-up bashment juggling from that 2019 wave, with GioVanniRimz pulling double duty on the project and the mood leaning toward an easy, breezy dancehall pulse rather than anything heavy-handed. Cherise Ransome’s “Black White” opens things with a clean, melodic touch, while Substannz and YaBoiVince turn “AFRO Groove” into the rowdier cut, all bounce and cheek. Kardi Tivali’s “Intimacy” and KTmusik’s “How You Feeling” keep the energy flowing without crowding the rhythm, and GioVanniRimz’s own “AFROdisiac Mashup” ties the whole thing together neatly. Released in late August 2019, it feels like one of those small-but-tight summer drops that knew exactly how much room to leave for the vocals.
