Marcus Production keeps this one in the tougher corner of French dancehall, with a hard, militant pulse that leaves plenty of room for the voicings to cut through. Released in April 2019 and running 16 tracks, History Riddim pulls a broad cast into the same frame without losing its edge: Kalash brings the sharpest street-level pressure on “Fouy AtA, ” Admiral T adds veteran weight on “PerpAtte, ” and Colonel Reyel’s “Encore Moi” leans into a more melodic lift. The set moves between raw deejay energy and cleaner sung hooks, so the riddim never feels locked to one lane for too long. But the final punch comes from Mickael’s “Boss, ” which lands like the most direct statement on the whole project and leaves the beat hanging in the air.
