Today, the Still A Go Dance Riddim is remembered for its joyful spirit and the way it brought people together on dance floors and at festivals. The riddim’s warm sound and uplifting energy echoed through sound system nights, making it a favorite among reggae fans in 2022. Working backwards, the riddim featured a strong lineup of respected artists. Christopher Ellis stood out with his song "Still Go a Dance." Ellis is known as the son of the legendary Alton Ellis and has made a name for himself with tracks like "Willow Tree." Beres Hammond, a veteran singer famous for hits such as "Rockaway" and his album "One Love, One Life," brought his signature soulful voice to "Hold Yuh Corner." Sizzla, who has released over 50 albums and is known for classics like "Praise Ye Jah," delivered "Hail Jah," adding his powerful message to the project. Capleton teamed up with Yami Bolo for "Chosen People." Capleton is recognized for his energetic performances and conscious lyrics, while Yami Bolo, who also recorded "Chosen People" as a solo track, is known for his roots reggae style and collaborations with artists such as Damian Marley. Damian Marley, also known as “Jr. Gong,” is a Grammy-winning artist and producer, celebrated for albums like "Welcome to Jamrock." His label, Ghetto Youths International, has helped launch and support many reggae artists worldwide.
