Slingshot Riddim – Greensleeves Records

Slingshot Riddim came out in 2005 on Greensleeves Records as a tight 8-track dancehall set that packs in a strong mix of names without dragging on. Beenie Man leads off with Walk Inna Mi Shoes, while Elephant Man’s Wine Pon Top Ah Dis Sound, Sean Paul feat. Looga Man’s Fresh, and Vybz Kartel’s Pussy give the rhythm plenty of pull. The lineup also includes Buccaneer, Kid Kurrup, Mossy Kid, and Sezar, making it a compact showcase of early-2000s dancehall energy. As part of Greensleeves’ rhythm album series, it follows the label’s familiar format of one riddim, multiple voices, and a clean compilation feel.
