RAW BLAZE RIDDIM produced by DON CORLEON RECORDS 2007
Raw Blaze Overview
Back in 2007, the bashment flow was running strong in dancehall music. In Jamaica, sound systems were the heart of the party. Huge speakers would blast the latest riddims, and crowds would gather to hear the newest tunes. One of the big riddims that year was the Raw Blaze Riddim. It was made for sound system culture—heavy bass, sharp drums, and energy that kept people moving all night. The sound engineer played a big part in this. They made sure every song hit hard and sounded clear on the speakers. Without their skills, the music wouldn’t have the same impact in the dance. Behind the riddim was Don Corleon Records. The label was started by Donovan “Don Corleon” Bennett, who is known for producing many hit riddims in dancehall and reggae. Don Corleon has worked with top artists and helped shape the sound of modern dancehall, with millions of streams on digital platforms. The Raw Blaze Riddim featured some of dancehall’s biggest names. Beenie Man came with “They Gyal Dem.” He’s famous for hits like “Who Am I (Sim Simma)” and has won a Grammy Award. Buju Banton delivered “Green Card.” Capleton brought “Warn Dem.” Sizzla gave us “Woman Dem.” Wayne Wonder Feat. Surprise Dj dropped “Blazin’.” Wayne Wonder is known for “No Letting Go,” which was a worldwide hit. All these songs kept the bashment flow alive in 2007.
