Album Watch this week follows Bebble Rock Music’s very own Kabaka Pyramid’s “The Kalling“. The Kalling follows Kontraband released in 2018 and stands as Kabaka’s second studio album. Released on 30 September 2022, the album was produced by Damian Marley. In addition, it boasts 15 vibrant tracks with notable collaborations with the likes of Jesse Royal, Protoje, Stephen Marley, Jemere Morgan, Peter Tosh and Buju Banton.
Kabaka Pyramid whose real name is Keron Salmon is a revolutionary conscious lyricist who has solidified his presence on the reggae scene. With past hits like Kontraband and Kaught Up in 2018. The album sold 620 units in sales and streaming in the US after the first week. This included 280 in pure album sales and 423,700 in on-demand audio and video streaming according to Luminate. Time will tell if the album charts on the Billboard charts following the success of Kontraband which peaked at No.3, spending 3 weeks on the charts in 2018.
