Spinal Cord Riddim arrived in 2022 from Konsequence Muzik, the Calgary-based imprint run by Tristmar “Konsequence” Peart, better known as TrizO. The set sits in the modern dancehall lane he has been carving from Canada while still keeping a firm Jamaica connection through the voices and the slang-heavy writing. The official drop date was September 30, 2022.

The riddim rides at a mid-tempo 95 BPM, with a hard, clipped bounce that leaves room for the deejays to work. It has that street-level, chant-ready feel: spare enough to let the vocals cut through, but with enough pressure in the drums and bass to keep the whole thing moving.
