HOT PURSUIT RIDDIM produced by OUTTAROAD RECORDS 2013
Hot Pursuit Overview
In early 2013, Jamaica’s dancehall scene got a fresh boost with the release of the Hot Pursuit Riddim. This bashment project came from OUTTAROAD RECORDS, a label known for pushing new sounds in dancehall and helping launch the careers of several artists. OUTTAROAD RECORDS had already made a mark with productions like “Life Goes On” by Vybz Kartel, and the label was respected for its energetic, club-ready style. Hot Pursuit Riddim brought together a group of talented artists, each adding their own flavor. Konshens, who was already well known for his hit “Gal a Bubble,” delivered the song “Condom.” His track kept the energy high and fit perfectly with the riddim’s bold style. Tiana and Shae teamed up for “Think You Bad,” showing strong chemistry and attitude. Tiana also appeared solo on “Whine Up Mi Body,” keeping the dance vibe going. Darrio, who was building his name in the scene, added “My Own.” Formila gave a tough edge with “One Duppy Dem,” while Sam Dash brought “Badmind Inna Overdrive.” Each song matched the riddim’s raw energy, making it a favorite in clubs and street dances. Delus with “My Time Is Now” and Ryan Oneil’s “Late Again” rounded out the release, giving listeners a complete dancehall experience. Looking back, Hot Pursuit Riddim captured the spirit of 2013. Its modern sound, strong lineup, and the work of OUTTAROAD RECORDS made it a standout in dancehall that year. The riddim still brings back memories of packed dance floors and the unstoppable energy of Jamaican music.
