EARLY BIRD RIDDIM (SOCA) – STAR BLU ENTZ 2013
Early Bird Overview
The Early Bird Riddim came out of the Caribbean in 2013, bringing a fresh festival groove to the soca scene. This riddim was everywhere that year, echoing through streets filled with dancers and masqueraders during carnival time. Big artists joined the Early Bird Riddim to give it real energy. Allison Hinds, known as the “Queen of Soca,” brought her song “No Way” to the mix. She is famous for her hit “Roll It Gal,” and is one of the most respected soca singers from Barbados. Barry Chandler added his song “Cropover,” named after the famous Barbadian festival, showing his deep connection to local culture. Rameses came in with “Patience,” giving the riddim a smooth and steady vibe. Mikey, another strong voice from Barbados, joined with “New Day.” Mikey is known for winning the Barbados Road March title in 2012, which made him a big name on the island. Destra, a powerful singer from Trinidad, brought “Aye You” to the riddim. Destra is famous for her energetic performances and her hit “Lucy,” which is loved across the Caribbean. Super Jigga TC also joined with “All I Want,” adding even more flavor to the riddim. The craftsman behind the Early Bird Riddim is producer De Red Boyz, a well-known production team from Barbados. They have worked with many top soca acts and are known for their bright, catchy sound. Looking back, the Early Bird Riddim was a key part of every big party and fete in 2013.
