Stephen Davis was born on 7 August 1979. His career began in 1994 as a disc jockey for a sound system called PowerPlay Disco. In 1997 he became a member of Essence Disco and he began developing his talent as a mic man and disc jockey and he began freelancing under the name DJ Superman. He later on joined Code Red Disco and played alongside DJs like Master Lee and DJ Rush whom he says set platform for his career as “Supa Hype”. In 2001 he became RETV VJ and this is when his name became popular throughout Jamaica. Davis’ career as an artist began with the popular tune “Welcome To Norbrook” which hit the charts in 2005. He worked with artists like Busy Signal, Ice Cold, Colly C and Flava Unit. In 2006, Daavis produced and released his first riddim “Smash” with hits from Busy Signal, Alaine, TOK, and Tony Matterhorn. In the summer of 2008, he joined Bloodline, a popular uptown sound. Davis joined forces with Booby Tukaz to form UPT-007 Records  and already they have produced dancehall rhythms, “Javelin and Vacuum” and reggae roots rhythm, “Sunshine” and many others. These rhythms feature artistes such as Alaine, Ice Cold, Charly Black, TOK, Tina Nunez, Gyptian, Chedda, and many others.
