DARKNESS RIDDIM produced by DREAMS LABS 2017
Darkness Overview
The Darkness Riddim dancehall set brought together some of the hottest names in the genre. Beres and Jareesha teamed up for "Summer Time," a song that quickly became a favorite at parties. Beres is well-known in reggae and dancehall, with a long career and classic songs that fans love. Brams delivered two versions of "Ready Fi Kill Dem," with both clean and explicit cuts. Dr Bird and Con Radical joined forces on "Show It," also released in both regular and explicit versions. Ganggoolie, known for his energetic style, gave fans "Terrible" in two versions as well. Macardi came through with "Seh Dem A Gangsta," another song with both clean and explicit tracks. Shampane added "Anything Yuh Want" to the mix, again with both versions available. Steven Styles brought a different vibe with "In These Times." The set was rounded off by Dreams Lab with the instrumental "Darkness Riddim." All these tracks came together under the guidance of DREAMS LABS, a producer and label with a solid reputation in dancehall music. DREAMS LABS is known for pushing new sounds and supporting rising artists, helping to shape the sound of modern dancehall. When the Darkness Riddim set dropped in 2017, it took over bashment sessions across Jamaica and beyond. Fans loved the energy and the mix of voices. Many say this set defined the bashment sound of that year, showing just how powerful a good riddim can be when the right artists are on it.
